What an eye you have. A simple picture full of simple shapes that are oh so tasty to the artistic eye. I really like your use of washes, and watercolor style.
Deino (May 5, 2006)
The subject is simple and interesting, totally unespected too!
You are truly admirable Axil.

There they are standing it a row...

Very lovely. I imagine this would look great as a painting, particularly in poster paint.
Sweetcell (May 5, 2006)
Oh that's pretty, I love how you shaded, you should do a tutorial your own self.

Thats a bright picture, she must be blinded. The picture gives me a feel of anticipation. Or something along the lines of...
Um.. Setting your eyes on the prize before you take it. Great work.

Hey, I know for a fact the Texas Gulf coast Sun is brighter than that even!

Like this mucho. Your technical skills are beyond astounding, but I must admit, I kind of like not being given all the info all the time. I get to look at this wonder all kinds of things. Such a dreamlike work with ice cream colors. :) (Blue Bell of course!)

staci (May 7, 2006)
delicious. the colors truly are edible..like some evil cotton candy or something. your usual sick meltyness paired with the muscle and bone definition is pretty freaktastic.
LisaAnne (May 8, 2006)
I'm glad you have varied up your color palette...it works extremely well for you in this piece. The colors remind me of sunset on a desert. The figure is strong and struggling...I love that you used alot of "verticle" lines...great movement. Keep up the great work.
HunterKiller_ (May 8, 2006)
This turned into something wonderful. What can i say... this is fucking great. *into the favourites folder*

Zoraw closeup
method3 (May 7, 2006)
I decided I liked to mess around in Sketchbook again more than Lascaux, one day I'm going to have to force myself back into it. I imagine Zoraw would be made of giant sheets of metal all put together at random. Inside his great metal body would be huge beams to support the fantastic and complex engines that drive him: giant monkeys.

This doesn't do it justice. here's the link....http://www.ceramicshowcase.com/ (I didn't have the link in front of me when I drew it..only the flyer, it cuts off at her hip so I completely forgot about the bottom. Hope I have enough space to attempt to finish it.

It's a good start, Donna..hope you can get the space.
frootcake (May 8, 2006)
i'd say it does do it justice, the white background and the mirror reflections give it much more life, as if it is in a gallery. i imagined this to me life size, but alas the model in the link looks hand held. great work of the non-turquoise bit :)
Miss_DJ (May 8, 2006)
thank you very much. I don't usually use a ref to draw..so it's challenging not just 'creating' as I go.
