When I discovered 2d way back when (early 2000's), this is one of the first drawings I saw here that TOTALLY BLEW MY MIND @___@ I could not wrap the idea of this being an actual 'drawing' around my head. I was just SURE it was a photo!!! I have to say that since then, I believe I have photorealism wrapped around my head just fine now :) Thank you, Xodiak, for the amazing inspiration!!

Well i find it gorgeous! You know there is different finishes ;) i find that art is in some way is unfinishing..you can keep on going changing things and trying to improve it and it will never be finished to you! I don't know, i think this can count as finished art to me! it is very beautiful :)

i like to make stories in my head quite a lot and never finish them... here i revisit a character that lives in my head (and never got out), a space piratess/privateer (or whatever) :S don;'t know what else to say.. |

Ummmmm im practicing portraits like crazy!!! i can draw really good on paper...idk y it gets so messed up on the comp D: welllll n e wai its horrible! plz comment and tell me how to improve!

ah yes, portraits are very tricky. And drawing on the computer takes practice. I don't think this is horrible as you say, but there are some things you can fix. One of those can be the nose; it looks little too high here. Or perhaps its the lips that needs to be moved up. And everything else looks fine to me. :]

Whoever took a screenshot of the 20,000 views on my DA page, would get a drawing of their chosing. Dave was the one who caught it, and he asked for a Tall Ship.Ok Dave, I'm sure this isn't what you had in mind. To be honest, me neither. The colors I was using told me: Burn it, burn it all! And instead of lighting my room, I punished the poor boat. I was using a reference for the ship, but I threw it away after things started to get out of control. Hope you like it Dave!
