Flubbles - i could record maybe my screen and post to youtube..
cyclops - Well my life only really started after i was 16 and got away from my parents place. So in a sense im almost a 13 year old noob myself :P
I got myself a twitter page! :D http://twitter.com/noobartist
+++ Warning! im gonna rant a bit here ;P +++
I got a letter a few days ago complaining that i hadn't filled out a study they had sent me (http://www.taloustutkimus.fi/in_english/) and emhasizing how important it is for everyone to who got selected to fill out the forms. So today i finally filled it out, took me like 2 hour, it was such a pain in the ass! :(
Oh and almost all the questions were so retarded or they just didn't apply to me at all. Like they asked many questions on what i thought was the reasons for the high unemployment. Was it because of the: high number over educated people; not enough educated people; immigrants stealing our jobs; jobs going overseas; people demanding too much wage; employers not being able to hire because of the depression; and so on.. But there was no option for what i think of as the real reason, that the system here in Finland is stacked against the small businesses. So its no wonder that when depression hits and the big corporations lay off their workers, the said workers cant get work from other big businesses and the they cant really start their own either. Not in this system (well they can start but they'll be soon out of business)..
..Another stupid bunch of questions were about refugees. No matter witch way i answered those questions, they could be used to support interest groups with wasteful spending or racist agendas. So i left those blank (and wrote how stupid questions i thought they were :P). We should instead of bringing refugees here, support monetarily the neighboring countries of a conflict that take refugees. That way the cultural shock and language barrier will not be too great. The refugees will have easier time getting jobs and going on with their lives, and going back to their home country when the conflict ends.
Instead Finland takes a few refugees each year (instead of helping many more closer to their home) and often houses them at hotels. The refugees cant get jobs because they dont speak Finnish and they get used to living on welfare. Then years later when the conflict ends at their home country, the refugee will face the choice of returning to a war torn country or staying on welfare here in Finland. The current situation doesn't help anyone.
A bit more on the language problem, only Finnish is hard (except if you are from Estonia :P). Unless you learn it young, you will have problems with it. My father has lived here 27 years and he still struggles with Finnish, and its not like hes bad at languages either, he speaks Greek, German and English. My mothers boyfriend has lived here over 20 years and its painful to listen him speak Finnish, hes a professor and speaks French and English. My teacher that was Japanese was also bad at Finnish and he too had lived here over 20 years. Some students had hard time understanding him.. Anyway, my point was that its difficult for the refugees to get jobs here (thought some manage to get a cleaning jobs) and after years of being unemployed, you become passive...
Another useless question was about about happiness and money. They asked how happy i was, and I marked that i was perfectly happy. The next question was if i would get €500 more per month, how much happier i would get, if any. I answered that I would get much happier. I dont need much to be happy, but that €500 would allow me to buy new shoes (my current ones are falling into pieces), a new monitor (my current one is almost 10 years old CRT that has a dark and blurry screen that flickers alot. It hurts my eyes actually), a second pair of jeans, go to dentist, and so on. But really, I would be perfectly happy even if i was homeless and living on the streets (It would be like an adventure! :D). But im strange like that. Actually when i meet new people, they will often think im on drugs or something cause im so cheerful :D
...hmmm, why did i start this rant.. oh yeah, don't trust statistics! The way they questions are worded, its like they have ulterior motivations or something.. :P
