excellent original draw! fingers look a little stubby due to the foreshortening. you might try a "cheat" and make one or two fingers longer, curled, or further apart, just to break up the repetitive finger shapes.

~not finished~this is a picture im painting in art class. we are studying surrealism, and i decided i should post my idea here...i guess. anyway, i havnt added in all the things in the picture such as the hand and the unicycle...hence the title. by the way, the blue things that are semi finished are ghosts. i think they look a bit like those ghosts in the lenore comics by roman dirge... anyway, feel free to comment on this while i finish it up :-)

Round brushes are very computer-y and don't always suit your style. Have you tried using shi-painter? Its textured brushes are gimmicky but the "water 2" tool might look better than lascaux's "blend" option. who knows!

yeah, sometimes the really round look of the brushes stick out too much in your pictures, but when it blends in nicely like on the nose, it looks a whole lot better. I like the quick sketchy style, but not too sketchy.

Oh this made me smile, and for that I thank you. As far as constructive criticism...the head looks a little squashed (forehead area).I realize space is tight, but I think that perhaps the image going off the canvas might be better. Very nice in general though. |
