I dunno, I was trying to do a Munch kind of painting and this came out. If ANYONE can think of something better to do color and style wise I am up to suggestions.NOTE: I do like the girl and the outfit though. Bout the only thing I do like.

But don't you think the bg could be better? Seriously I'm not in love with it. Anyone with any suggestions please don't hesitate to offer them. (specially that green pickle-thingy. don't know what I was thinking)

This is really cool! Love the sweeping flow of the girl and her expression!!! I'm not sure how it would look, but you could try bringing thin green sweeping lines from the top of the green pickle-thingy up to meet the thin green lines by the shoulder and maybe pull some of the orange-brown color from that area down into the green a little and then maybe break the solid of the blue a little. Not sure how though? Munch's backrounds seem to have alot going on in them and didn't have alot of solid areas If it doesn't work I'd leave it the way it is. Definitely has a modern day Munch feel to it :~)

hmm, compared to the bg the lower part of her dress looks a bit plain. maybe putting more of the little decoration there would help? (some pattern perhaps) |

Thanks guys. Sweetcell: I always use the ink brush. The airbrush doesn't fit my style very well and tends to look too blurry.

I love that effect you give the wings with the bubbles and stars, makes the whole picture a lot more eye catching.

For some reason, this reminds me of one of those paintings, with black background, made out of some type of material, maybe cloth. You know which ones I am talking about?Anyways, this looks very nice. Feels like a very cool place. |

Bubblebut, stay aways froms mah kittie.Seriously though I know what it's like to raise a hellish cat. I had one like that (he really was mine, the others were my brothers who I ended up being the caretaker of after they left) and he LOVED me, liked my dad, and tolerated everyone else. He loved to scratch the hell out of my skin when we played and he terrorized my Ayla (the white cat I lost last year) and she was a grownup. Then my brother took in a stray (which I still have and usually sits beside me when I'm on the computer) and she had some relief because my Bastion went after him. Unfortunately I think he had too much wild in him because he ran off one night when someone opened the door and I never saw him again. *sniff* miss that bugger. But I did the eyes nice, didn't I?

I know what you mean. I did a rainy window piece and the water was hard. I think the thing that's missing is you made the droplets almost all one size and gave them all trails, if you had a few blobs and smaller dot's it'd look just a little more realistic. That's what I observed when I did mine. Good piece Joanna. |
