This has a pen and ink feel, the trees in the background are amazing and I can't see anything at all wrong with the glasses. I like it! Jillj
shining_star_sam (Oct 14, 2007)
Very nice sweetcell! What's his number? lol jk.
HolyCow (Oct 14, 2007)
I like the feel of this picture :)
I've always liked this style, and the trees in the background look really neat.

As for your comment on the glasses, to me it more seems that the angle of the nose is just a smidge off which in turn makes the sunglasses seem like they're at a funny angle or broken or something.
I think maybe if you adjusted the nose ever so slightly towards his left lens (our right) it would look less "stumpy" hehe :)

Sorry if that didn't make much sense, but I tried.

Good job, though. I really like this :D
Sweetcell (Oct 14, 2007)
No it does make sense HC, the nose in the picture is at a strange angle and hard to capture. I have to try another one of these.

Tankies.

ANZAC day.

The ANZACs were the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who fought in WWI in the battle of Gallipoli - April 25th was the day they landed. The holiday is there to commemorate the New Zealand and Australian soliders who fought, and those who died. I don't know about Australia, but in New Zealand (being the tiny country that it is) just about everyone has a connection to someone who fought (my grandfather and great uncle were both involved).
Every year there are dawn parades all over the country, where veterans gather (there aren't many left these days) and wreaths are laid, and the Last Post is played on the bugel just as the sun rises. They're not big, flashy ceremonies...

Red poppies were the only flowers that ever grew on battle fields, because they thrived in the loose soil disturbed by the bombs. While the flowers bloomed, the field became a sea of red, and not just from the poppies. Poppies are also the traditional flower of rememberance.
So every year on ANZAC day people put red poppies on the graves of their ancestors who died in the war, and the Returned Services Association sells little felt poppy pins on the street for a donation.

Oh, and there is a commemorative biscuit too, the Anzac biscuit, a golden syrupy rolled oaty thing, sort of chewy and crunchy at the same time, and it's delicious.

Ok..... ok. This was a character/picture I drew months ago that I wanted to draw again, but he kinda changed a bit. I don't know about the hair but I couldn't recreate what I'd done the first time. Opinions on that (oh, yes for those who may feel this is a female it isn't, it's male, and now I'm doing the whole male/female thing. Maybe it's a she maleXDDDDD) He's from the future... maybe... I don't know. I'll work on a bg for him... or not. But just say he is so it explains his big ass gun (which took the most time and made from a whole bunch of squiggles. Yah for scribbled squiggles) He's a panda like creature.... basically I got anthro and a feminine looking guy in one. I'm kawaii now aren't I? Well aren't I? >:( *maybe just need sleep*

Ahh, hope you two have room for yours. To explain further, Psychofox and I are facing off against IT, or we'll be as soon as they put theirs in. Works for you guys?

Guesse he should have a name. Maybe Wilbur.... Warrior Wilbur from the 38 1/2 century....

K, should maybe sleep. Work on this tommorow, hopefully.

Thanks everyone. Enjoy: I almost always use a reference, it is funner not to completly copy it sometimes, though.

The discovery of his father's dead body on the borders of Gyr's Stand means that the duties of Lordship fall on Kretchket's shoulders now. The new Lord is troubled less by his sudden rise to power than he is by the nagging thought that his father was murdered-- by the dissident mob of crows roaming Highperch.

Teehee, funny how my name inspired you to look at the site, funny because I have nothing to do with it. Made it up verrrry long ago because my name is Joyce and I enjoy myself in the .com world. Drawing is great by the way. I agree with what everybody already said, no ruining from you.
