aww! i like them! but one questoin, wasn't there a basilisk in harry potter? wasn't that a snake? but i love this! i like the way you made everything come together, good job.

i'm currently re-reading the series so i was inspired...

and icybluecub: yes there was a basilisk in HP, and yes it was a big snake creature.

as mythological creatures go, since there is no reality to base it on, individual writers tend to take liberties on their view of what the animal is.

rowling decided she wanted a big snake, and pierce decided she wanted a man-sized lizard-like creature.

i find it interesting though that rowling's basilisk could petrify with a glance, and pierce's could render things into stone with a special noise. obviously both authors based their individual creatures on some centering legend to get those similarities...

I love the way she's black and white, and everything else is colourful.
It gives the picture feeling.

hmm i think i played with the foregroud way too much and covered up a lotta detail but its kinda cool still.. and there was a supper break in there somewhere

anyone else feel like when they have all the time in the world they have nothing to draw and when they dont have time they have like a million ideas? gah.

Know the feeling. ^_^;; When I don't have time a doodle a very rough scetch on paper and then when I don't have any ideas but loads of time I can draw out one of thhe doodles ^_^
Great pic, the hand is really good. The orb thing ish cool too.
